This project took place between 2003-2006.
All of the stone is Connecticut Brownstone salvaged from the top 70ft of the Cathedral of the Immaculate conception in Albany NY.
During the restoration of Tower 1 I was able to salvage around 15k+ lbs of this stone which in turn became 100+ sculptures.
These sculpture lend themselves to be animorphic without being figurative. To capture the special moments of a humans body without having the need to represent it fully. The crease in your elbow. the stration of your calf, the rolls in your back...all intimate parts that are transposed into sculptures that are meant as much for touch as they are for sight.
Commissions available in a variety of stone.
Creation subject to availability of studio.
